Internal Audit Officer- based in Kathmandu, Nepal

The Internal Audit Officer will be primarily responsible for performing internal audits of grants, functions, and partner organizations with minimum supervision from the Internal Audit Specialist to provide an independent assessment of CARE Nepal’s financial, programmatic, operational, and control activities. The role supports annual audit planning and risk assessment processes, leads audit assignments in line with approved audit plans, identifies control weaknesses and compliance gaps, and provides practical recommendations for improvement. The position is also responsible for maintaining partner risk assessment databases, coordinating project, mission, donor, and other reviews, and supporting special audits and investigations as required by CARE Nepal and CARE USA.

CARE Nepal participates in the Inter-Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme. CARE initiates rigorous investigation of complaints that indicate a possible violation of this policy and takes appropriate disciplinary action, as warranted.
