Sanima Hydro and Engineering, a leading Hydropower Consultancy Company is seeking applications from highy motivated, result oriented, team player and competent Nepali Citizen for the following positions
Position: Mechanical Overseer
Job Station – Site Based
Academic Qualifications & Other Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in hydropower projects.
- Basic knowledge of hydro-mechanical equipment and systems used in hydropower plants.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation and erection of hydro-mechanical components, including gates, stoplogs, trash racks, penstocks, hoists, and embedded parts.
- Review drawings and specifications and inspect installation, welding, alignment, and workmanship to ensure quality and compliance.
- Monitor construction progress, maintain site records, and report technical issues, delays, and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with contractors and civil, electrical, and other project teams for timely execution of works.
- Assist in material inspection, quantity verification, running bill checking, and progress reporting.
- Support equipment testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and final handover.
- Identify site discrepancies, coordinate technical solutions, and prepare inspection and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and site health and safety requirements.
